]]>That is until recently. I learned about a product called a pumice cleaning stick. It is simply a soft stone held on a plastic handle. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of such a thing. Maybe it’s because I spent most of my life in Honolulu which has very soft water, never resulting in mineral deposit rings in one’s toilet.
Once the knowledge was there, I ordered my pumice cleaning stick from Amazon. The persistent hard-mineral ring which had formed over time in the toilet bowl challenged m. No other products such as strong cleaners or bleach needed. Just start rubbing the stone against the ring and like a miracle the ring is gone. The stone is very soft and slowly wears away into a sand-like grit. It took about two minutes to remove the ring which had built up over months and even years.
When finished the bowl looked like new. The pumice cleaning stick that I used is called the DISIWENE Pumice Cleaning Stone. Amazon sells it for about $8.00 for a set of four.
